The Electric Side Steps (Running Boards) for the Jeep Wrangler JL 4 Door (2018–Present) are designed to automatically deploy and stow in response to door operation. When the doors are opened, the side steps extend to provide easier access, and when the doors are closed, they retract back into the stowed position.
The system includes an automatic stop function for safety, halting movement if an obstruction is detected. Once cleared, normal operation resumes by opening and closing the door. The steps can also be manually set in the deployed position for roof access.
